 A society needs a system of rules which is enforced through a set of institutions to provide a better living standard and equality to all. If there were no rules a society may turn into a jungle. The rules which are made through an institution are Law.

Law governs a wide variety of social activities. Legal systems elaborate rights and responsibilities in a variety of ways. In some countries religion informs the law. Whereas, in all other countries law is informed by its ruling government.  All legal systems deal with similar issues and behaviors, but each country categorizes and identifies its legal standards and principals in different ways. 

Law spreads into three main categories to cover almost each end of society and these categories are as follows:
